BoP Protocol Working Group
The Base of the Pyramid Protocol is a collaboration by a diverse set of partners and institutions ranging from multinational corporations to social enterpreneurs, practitioners, and academics. The first meeting of the BoP Protocol Working Group was at an intense four-day workshop in October of 2004, the eventual product of which was Version 1.0 of the Protocol. Version 1.0 was tested in 2005 in Kenya and the lessons from the test were folded back into a second workshop in October of 2005 to create version 2.0 of the Protocol (which will be released in 2006).
